Dynamics of grain reserves growth in Kazakhstan for the last six years
Every year, the amount of grain in the bins of Kazakhstan increases. Therefore, the internal demand for these products, just as the required exports volumes, remain at the same level or grow not fast enough. The worst case for the market is when the demand for grain for both domestic consumption and exports is reduced, while yields continue to grow. Such information was already provided by IA “Kazakh-Zern”.
Over the past six years, the amount of grain in the bins of Kazakhstan as of November 1 is growing every year. It is on November 1 in the Republic of Kazakhstan when there is the greatest amount of grain. During the last six years, this figure has increased by 3.3 million tons, or by 19.5%. Such information was provided by the Committee of Statistics.
The dynamics of the grain reserves growth is as follows: 2012 – 16.7 million tons, 2013 – 16.8 million tons (increase), 2014 – 14.1 million tons (decrease), 2015 – 17.7 million tons, 2016 – 18.8 million tons and 2017 – 20 million tons. In order to increase the demand for grain and products of its processing, it is necessary to increase export volumes, as well as develop the livestock sector and the grain processing industry. But this should be done again with a prospect for export, as the volumes of domestic consumption of grain and products of its processing are still limited.
Today, for agrarians of Kazakhstan, the most urgent task is to develop the mechanisms for selling grain products.
