Buckwheat planting in Ukraine to increase by 15–20%: the importance of grain quality control grows
In the current season, farmers plan to increase the planting area of Buckwheat by approximately 15–20%. The growing interest in this crop is related to market fluctuations: after periods of reduced production, buckwheat prices usually rise, which encourages farmers to expand planting areas.
With increasing harvest volumes, fast laboratory grain quality control becomes especially important for grain elevators and processing enterprises. During grain intake, laboratories determine the level of impurities, the presence of shriveled or damaged kernels, and the suitability of the batch for further processing.
