Ukrainian farmers have completed 94.5% of the autumn sowing of 2025
As of November 11, Ukrainian farms have sown 6,194.5 thousand hectares of winter crops, which is 94.5% of the forecasted area.
In particular:
- winter wheat – 4,507.6 thousand ha;
- winter barley – 544.2 thousand ha;
- winter rye – 66.1 thousand ha.
The leading regions in sowing rates are Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv. In several regions (Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Rivne, and Chernihiv), the sowing has already been fully completed. Winter rapeseed has been planted on 1,076.7 thousand hectares, and work in 14 regions has also been completed.
Importance of Grain Dryer Preparation
With the completion of winter crop sowing and a shift in focus toward harvesting and storage, it is crucial to ensure that the grain drying and preservation equipment is fully prepared. One of the key components in this process is **stationary drying equipment**, particularly the Akron Svegma series grain dryers offered by **3S Company**.
These models provide a capacity from 5 to 250 tons per hour, with a shaft width ranging from 2 to 8 meters and a height of up to 20 meters. Key advantages include a smooth internal surface to prevent grain and dust accumulation, galvanized construction, an advanced air distribution system, multiple heat source options (gas, pellets, firewood), and automated operation.
The completion of winter crop sowing gives farmers time and opportunity to focus on the next stages of the agricultural season — and grain dryer readiness is now one of the most critical factors for a successful campaign. Equipment like the Akron Svegma dryers from 3S Company helps minimize losses, optimize fuel use, and ensure high-quality grain storage
