Export of soybean processing products from Ukraine
Export figures for such soybean processing products as meal and cake in the current MY was 136.200 t, which is 18% higher than the figures for the previous year. In addition, this indicator has broken all records on export supplies of soybean processing products in Ukraine.
Such information was provided by the analyst of the portal «APK-Inform».
The report also says that most of these products are in demand in the CIS countries, the European Union and the Middle East.
Although Belarus is the leading importer of soybean processing products, exports to this country has decreased due to the situation with ASF.
In 2017-2018, the export of soybean processing products from Ukraine reached 1.3 million tons, which is 8.7% higher than the previous year. The main buyers of Ukrainian products are European and Asian countries. The growth of export volumes can contribute to increasing export earnings and strengthening Ukraine’s foreign economic ties. However, there are also risks associated with increased competition in world markets and lower prices for soybean processing products. This could negatively affect the economic situation of some producers in Ukraine, but it could also lead to an increase in the overall production and export volumes of soybean processing products.
